Description

The printing inks is characterized by:

  • very high adhesion to the substrate;
  • fast drying - even at high printing speeds;
  • high coverage - resulting in less printing inks consumption;
  • Resistance to solvents.

The ink is often used for non-absorbent substrates such as PET, laminated aluminum or coated paper, PVC, PP and PE film, synthetic paper and plain paper. The ink is commonly used in printing labels used for electrical appliances, office equipment and automotive parts where high print strength is required.

Frequent questions

The amount of ink supplied (anilox capacity) must be adjusted to the substrate on which we print and the linearity of the printing form. Its quantity affects the optical density of the printed field as well as the point gain, i.e. the quality of the reproduced image during flexo printing.

There are several test methods on the market for measuring anilox wear. A common one is the printing inks spot test, which involves applying a certain amount of special printing inks to the anilox and, after imprinting a mark on the substrate, measuring this field.

The implementation of effective, production-specific anilox cleaning procedures should be a priority for any printing company. Their proper implementation translates into longer life of aniloxes, better ink transfer, which increases stability and repeatability during printing.
