Description

Image density characteristics

The ablation film was developed to provide high quality image reproduction in digital imaging processes for flexographic and photopolymer plates. Thanks to its very good absorption of laser energy and low transmittance of background light, it makes it possible to obtain a strong contrast between the ablated areas and the intact surface.

Such properties enable precise reproduction of graphic details, facilitate optical image detection, and increase the efficiency of further production stages.

  • Low background light transmission guarantees strong visual contrast.
  • The ablated film retains clear contours and good reproduction of even very small graphic elements.

Dimensional stability and conditioning

The ablation film exhibits high dimensional stability, which translates into reproducibility and imaging precision in laser processes. The proper structure of the material minimizes the risk of deformation during storage, transport and work with laser energy.

To maintain optimal properties, it is recommended to condition the film before use - by storing it under production conditions for a specified period of time (usually 24 hours). This allows humidity and temperature equalization, which is especially important for accurate positioning of the film on the plate surface.

Tested on most lasers processing black mask:

The ablative film should be EXPLOSED ONLY using a laser equipped with a vacuum-based debris removal system.
