Implementation of a prepress department at Eticpress in Italy
At the Eticpress printing house, we implemented a solution based on printing plates QZ 114 water-based printing plates and LED exposure technology, which we developed and manufacture in-house. We had one goal: to significantly improve the quality of printing plate preparation and stabilize the process.
The result? A change that’s visible not only under a magnifying glass, but above all in the final print.
In practice, this means:

✔️ smooth and clean tonal transitions
✔️ high repeatability and predictability of the process
✔️ greater sharpness of detail and better control over highlights

A combination of advanced Toyobo panels QZ 114 with our proprietary LED imagesetter has allowed us to take flexo quality to a whole new level. The high standards and expectations of the Eticpress printing house, along with their openness to innovative solutions, played a key role here—it is thanks to this collaboration that we were able to achieve our goals together.
The entire process was also supported by our DTP studio, which allowed Eticpress to test various solutions and then consciously implement those that worked best in their production environment.
It was a true partnership—one in which technology, expertise, and mutual trust all work together toward a single goal: uncompromising print quality and consistency—which is exactly what we strive for.
