B&R Chemistry Lab

No two printing plants are the same - the configuration of machines, inks and printing plates means that the chemicals needed to keep a printing plant clean sometimes require specialized formulas. At our B&R laboratory, we develop proprietary formul ations of QUICKER cleaners, which are designed with efficiency and safety in mind for flexo and letterpress printing plants.

Tailor-made recipes

If a printing house has specific Printing inks, a complex technological process and a problem with press parts or matrices washing, the best solution is to create a specialized formula. Our specialists come to the printer, take ink and plate samples, and then pass them on to the technologist, who adjusts the formulas.

In our laboratory, we create chemicals tailored to the production conditions of a particular printing plant:

  • kind of Printing inks (solvent, UV, water-based, etc.),
  • type of printed substrates,
  • Machine parameters (temperature, pressure, surface types),
  • the expected method of application (manual, automatic, spray washing).

This ensures that the printing company does not experiment in the dark!

We test the effectiveness of the chemistry in practice, based on data from the machinery fleet.
