Toyobo Water washable plate conquers Verona!
L'Etichetta SaS is a Verona, Italy-based printer specializing in self-adhesive labels. The company was founded 30 years ago by current owner Fausto Marani. With years of experience in the industry, the printer guarantees fast and excellent service.
Each order is approached with due diligence. These flexographic printing enthusiasts serve many industrial companies in the Veneto region and beyond. Mr. Fausto, along with his daughters Valentina and Silvia, are fascinated by printing, and consequently are constantly looking for innovative solutions that can produce tangible and delightful results.
Fascination with print
With this attitude, a few weeks ago, they decide to test a flexo plate from Toyobo. The CosmolightWater washable plate is synonymous with high quality, and after a short time of testing it convinces the owners. The implementation is two intensive days: the installation of the plate processing machine and the setting up of the process by Print Systems ' technicians, which results in the first reprints. The plate's performance from the first print runs surprises L'Etichetta's printing staff positively.
After seeing the first prints of the labels, I conclude that we made a big leap in quality. The Toyobo board has given us a boost in labels. The minimal point we achieved in printing simply impresses!

Holistic approach
Print Systems technicians offer their customers a holistic approach. They worked not only on production but also in the prepress. They set the color ISO 12647-2 on the ESKO softwar. Since the customer has an in-house prepress and an in-house graphics studio, the end result was made possible by great cooperation. Toyobo' Water washable plate was also appreciated after printing.
When I finished the whole print run and took the plates off the cylinders, I was pleasantly surprised that the plate immediately returned to its flat form. Comparing it to other polymers I've had the opportunity to work with so far, it's really a luxury. There are no problems with archiving the disc and reissues. The polymer is very easy to put on the cylinders and is very malleable, which makes it adhere perfectly.

I am of the opinion that the real folly is to do the same thing over and over again and expect better results. But that doesn't apply to L'Etichetta printing company - it's a group of people who weren't afraid to change in search of better.

And that's how the promising cooperation between Italian printer L'Etichetta and Print Systems was born. "I think our companies have one thing in common that I personally appreciate very much - passion for what they do," says Klaudia Opuchlik, Technical Quality Specialist at Print Systems, who was responsible for the implementation of the board at the client.
The owner of the printing company, Fausto Marani, to toast a new chapter in the company, opened a bottle of champagne after the tests were completed, saying "Toyobo conquers Verona!".
