Thriving, growing and competitive - these are the terms used to describe the global packaging printing market by representatives of Troika Systems Ltd. - the manufacturer of Troika AniCam equipment, in an interview with the American Flexographic Printing Association FTA under the title "Once and Right - The Golden Rule of Flexographic Printing Management."
"Packaging printers actively support and encourage technological change by suppliers, which motivates Troika to improve and develop its quality control product offerings with an eye toward future industry benefits," says company owner Phil Hall and Rebecca (Becci) Glendenning, in charge of marketing.
"We develop Troika's control and measurement equipment to help manage the printing process, reduce installation and print preparation time, and reduce environmental pollution. As a result, increase profits and the quality of the final product."
Troika's philosophy is: "By managing anilox condition and die quality, you can save time and effectively reduce waste."
As Phil Hall says - "Troika AniCam anilox and flexo plate management products have evolved over the past decade into widely used tools that achieve the reliability and accuracy so highly desired by flexo printers. With the right technical and training support, our equipment has proven to be an important contributor to the profitability of domestic and global printers/converters."
Troika Systems, which recently celebrated its 20th birthday, was founded in 1996 and currently has 16 employees. The company designs, develops and manufactures precision 3D and 2D microscopes and management systems for the packaging printing industry worldwide.
The company has just joined the FTA association and plans to expand into the US market. It wants to use its membership to deepen its knowledge and better underbooth the needs of the flexo packaging printing industry in order to better support American printers. When asked about further evolution and development, they answer: "Without a doubt, the introduction of a mathematically proven volume measurement boothard for aniloxes, which has been tested and recognized by Swansea University (Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating), replaces the various methods used to date, developed and used in the past by 34 different anilox manufacturers from around the world.
boothardization of anilox measurement
"The standardization of volume measurement brings real benefits to many printing companies seeking tools for better anilox inventory management. Troika’s products are now widely used across the packaging print industry – from the smallest narrow-web printers to wide-web operations and large-scale corrugated printing plants," explain Hell and Glendenning.
When asked about current expectations in the industry, Phil Hall explains, "Troika AniCam microscopes fully meet printers/converters' requirements for highly accurate, operator-independent, reliable measurement and reporting in this important part of print process management. Printing companies are truly saving thousands of dollars a month. All thanks to better knowledge and management of the condition of their aniloxes, flexo plates and rotogravure cylinders. This leads to a significant increase in efficiency and a significant reduction in waste during production start-up, as well as greater confidence in high print quality, as experienced by our 850 satisfied customers."
